![]() ![]() For my troubles, he offered to send me a gift card from the company so I could go out to a nice dinner, saying it was the least they could do. I emailed him regarding the issues I had and I received what seemed to be a sincere apology for the mixup, stating that I could have used the credit card if I had gotten in touch with them. I did not hear from him at any point before the delivery, and did not hear from the company until after the paperwork for the delivery was finished. ![]() I tried to reach out to Get it Done, and though it was a Friday night and Saturday morning (delivery Saturday), I reached out to David on his cell phone that we had been in contact on before. I had just moved cross-country, so I did not have a bank from which to get a cashier’s check, and luckily I had just been paid that day, so I was able to mostly empty my checking account in order to get the cash from local ATMs to cover the balance. The driver informed me that they could only accept cash or a cashier’s check at delivery. I told them that was fine and I wanted to use the credit card that I had paid the deposit with. I received a call the afternoon before delivery from the company that was hired to drive my car across the country, and they confirmed the balance that was owed, which matched what I had been told previously. The main issue I had with the company, and the reason I am only giving them 2 stars, is what came after the car was picked up. I waited a while to call back and make the reservation, as I got my moving issues in order, and they honored the previous quote from before. The first time he called me he spoke to me at length about the process, how auto transport works, and gave me a no commitment quote. David, the owner, called me and texted with me even on weekends, showing that he was very interested in ensuring that the process continued to move smoothly. I’ve left my phone numbers and email address each time I left a message and all of my phones are in working order so hopefully they won’t resort to lying as they did to other customers.Īt first I was very happy to use Get it Done Transportation. I am pretty sure they have common sense enough to know that I would not be able to make myself available anytime between Dec 4-15 on a last minute notice. I was also not told that I would need to drive the vehicle somewhere to meet the driver and while this isn’t necessarily an issue, I need the courtesy of at least a 24 hr notice so that I can make arrangements to do so. I would not have placed the order with this company if this information nhad been revealed at this time. If the company practice is to inform the customer of the driver assignment and load date on the day of service, then this information should have been revealed when I was first placing the order. As the customer, why am I running up behind them to figure out what the problem is? The man that I spoke to, did not offer any options as to how this problem would be resolved, he just hurriedly said, “I’ll call the driver and find out what’s going on and call you back today.” I have never experienced customer service like this…ever. By the way, they charged me a $90 deposit and my car is still sitting at my home waiting for transport. I called them again on 15 Dec and spoke with a young lady that said her boss wasn’t in but that he would be calling me back that very same day…guess what? No one called. I emailed the company on Thursday…still didn’t hear from anyone. I called Wednesday, spoke to same guy and he said the same thing…no callback. ![]() I called on Monday, spoke to a man who told me he was going to find out what happened and call me back…no call back. I called the company’s 24/7 number at least 3x that same day…no answer and no call back. If I had known prior to that day, I could have made other arrangements, but I did not receive that courtesy. The problem: I had National Guard drill that weekend and like most people who have a job, I couldn’t just drop what I was doing to go home and handle personal business. Within 45 minutes of receiving this email, I got a call from the driver saying that he was an hour away from me and that I needed to come meet him somewhere because he couldn’t drive in my residential neighborhood. stating the my vehicle had been assigned to a driver and was scheduled for transport that very same day. Never got a call, but on Saturday, 7 Dec, I received an email at 11:33 a.m. When I placed the order, I was told by Kat Jolly that she would be calling me back within the week to let me know when the driver was assigned and when the vehicle would be loaded. ![]() I placed an order to have my vehicle shipped between Dec 4-15. ![]()
